"The hotel is in the centre of Luca and within walking distance of anything you could want within the walled city. I felt safe as a solo female traveller and was comforted by the rooms' security. "Villa Alta provides beautiful history and art-intense setting, wonderful atmosphere and comfortable conditions for memorable romantic, family or individual stay and events. It is located very close to the cities of Lucca and Pisa, surrounded by the very well-designed and kept Mediterranean garden with the clean and beautiful pool aria. "Our stay at the Villa La Preziosa was completely wonderful. The Villa has been beautifully restored and Barbara, Gunther and their family made us feel so welcome. Lucca itself is an amazing place with lots to see and do and, thanks to the recommendations from the Villa, we found some amazing restaurants. We couldn't have had a better stay."

"The property was very well located for touring the old town and places of interest. The room was spoilt by stale odours in the bathroom. This was possibly due to a maintenance issue with the shower's drain."

"Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and bed was comfortable and air con worked very well in bedroom in a heatwave! Breakfast room was a little tight for the number of guests staying and air con did not really operate that well in reception area and breakfast room. We enjoyed our stay in Lucca and Villa Romantica!"

"We liked the location and the fact it was quiet.The bed was comfortable. Kitchen adequate but would have liked electric kettle. It was wet weather and we had no control over heating as it was put on remotely and only occasionally during our weeks stay. We appreciated the clean towels and linen everyday. A welcome pack was not included ie info on nearest shop. So more difficult when travelling without a car. Lucca is a wonderful city and a few little touches would have made us feel more welcome...

The rooms were clean and comfortable and we had an adorable balcony where we breakfasted al fresco each morning. Alessandra was delightful. She speaks excellent English and was efficient and helpful. "Beautiful little townhouse all the comforts of home. A lovely big spa bath, great continental breakfast. Perfect location for walking around the new and old town up on the hill. Walking distance from the station. And the host Samanta was more than helpful even gave me her mobile number if I needed anything. I will definitely stay again "

"Beautiful place very relaxing with excellent view. Great service. Parking no very close to building ( if rainy day very uncomfortable). Road to the hotel very narrow. Had an incident going down and old gentleman coming up, he had to back up car for more than 100 meters and honestly he didn’t know how to back up car. Todo almost have and hour to be able to continue my way down. But other than that beautiful place"

"This space was authentically rustic and very livable. Modern kitchen conveniences, comfortable beds, plenty immediate hot water & pressure. Large outdoor space was equipped for relaxed viewing the expanse of Viareggio/Ligurian Sea in day & a plethora of twinkling nighttime lights.
