"This hotel was well situated at the waterfront in downtown Reykjavik with easy access to numerous excellent dining options, shopping options, and sights. Only a short walk to the whale watching excursions, pickup point for inland excursions, and bus to and from airport. Very nice people and fine hotel. The weather was good for here in September, cool, bring warm clothes"

"The Viking hotel is a very unique experience which is what we were looking for. Since we were 4 people in our party we stayed in one of their cottage rooms. Reminded me of girls camp from long ago. It had a loft with 2 single beds and a bunk bed plus single bed on the main floor with a bathroom on the main level. It was very clean as was the main hotel. Staff was very helpful in getting us taxi's and the morning buffet breakfast was very good. They had a resturant on site also that served outstanding food. They even had a couple that sang around the dining room. Very good option to the basic routine hotel experience. "

"There was a desigated bus stop(#12) right outside. This made it convenient for airport bus drop and tour bus pick up/ drop offs. Most of staff was very friendly and helpful."

"Amazing hotel in the Reykjavik harbor, ample common spaces finely decorated, nice staff, restaurant on the premises, at a short walk (15 min) from city center, free parking on the side towards the harbor. (Mind that Google maps does not indicate the entrance properly)"

"Nice job w breakfast starting at 3am ! And at a good price (for Iceland) Outside balcony lights should be dimmer to help viewing of the northern lights. It would have been good to allow for early checking- esp considering that overseas flights can arrive early in the day. Staff was v good."
