"We (family of four, 2 kids under 13), had an outstanding stay at Alda Hotel in Reykjavik and would absolutely return. The location is hard to beat—right in the heart of the city and within easy walking distance to major sights, great restaurants, bars, and shopping. It made exploring Reykjavik incredibly convenient, whether we were heading out for a quick coffee or a full day of sightseeing. Our room was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out. Everything felt well-maintained and true to what we expected when booking, which is always appreciated. The staff really stood out. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and quick to help with anything we needed. Whether it was answering questions, offering recommendations, or assisting with small requests, they were consistently prompt and professional. One thing to note is parking. Since the hotel is located in a very popular and central district, finding a nearby spot can sometimes be a bit challenging. Be prepared for a short walk, especially if you have luggage. That said, it’s a small trade-off for being in such a prime location. Overall, Alda Hotel delivered a fantastic experience—great location, comfortable accommodations, and excellent service. "This hotel is in a perfect spot. We walked to everything in town and caught the bus right outside. We had a beautiful room and the hotel staff was great, especially Veronika at the front desk who was super nice and helpful. Enjoyed the restaurant, the spa (had a massage), daily breakfast, and everything about our stay. Definitely recommend this hotel."
