"The Takeo Onsen Kyotoya is a traditional Japanese hotel. I wanted the tatami mat and futon experience and this property exceeded my expectations. I enjoy the older style of hotel as the nostalgia of the experience is valuable to me. The room and bath were well appointed and very comfortable. "It's a property rich in history, culture, art, furnishings, aesthetics. Staff are helpful, informative, attentive. They are welcoming, friendly. The rooms are clean, diverse in style, comfortable, with great views of sky, water, beach, pine trees, islands, and mountains. Sandy beach and surf are just in front of the ryokan. The food is extraordinary, plentiful, delicious servings of traditional Japanese-style breakfast and dinner. The seafood is incredible. You must reserve for dinner by noon of...

"There is 4 parking spots on the property, but they aren't for guests? I parked in one of the three open and was called to move my car because it was the owner's spot. I was told to take it to paid parking. Room was amazing however. Water pressure in the shower was great."
