"Clean simple and good value hotel "

"Sol Ipanema is a fantastic place to stay! The staff and the property exceeded all my expectations — everything from service to comfort was outstanding. My only issue was with Expedia, not the hotel itself. I needed to change my reservation dates, and while the hotel’s reservation team was incredibly kind and approved the change, Expedia failed to update the dates properly with the hotel. Despite this hiccup, my experience at Sol Ipanema was excellent, and I’d definitely return! "

"We totally recommend it! The location is amazing—close to all the key points in the city. It’s the only hotel in Rio directly on the beach, without a road separating it from the sand. The restaurant has amazing views, whether you’re going for breakfast or catching the sunset while sipping caipirinhas. The entire staff was amazing—friendly, informative, and always very, very helpful and welcoming. Special shoutout to Marcus and Matheus at the front desk. Rodrigo and Bruno at the restaurant were the best!! We spent 5 days in Rio, then headed to Lençóis Maranhenses. When we came back to Rio, we had originally planned to stay at another hotel, but we canceled and decided to return to Arpoador. We’re definitely coming back in the future. Thank you for everything!!"

It’s clean, quiet and comfortable and the location is ideal for us. Also, a special shout out to Josefa, the nice lady who cleaned our room each day. She did a great job and we always enjoyed saying hi to her each morning. "

"Hotel was very comfortable and walking distance to the beach. A lot of cute cafes and good restaurants in the area that are also walking distance. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Highly recommend booking here."

"My stay at El Misti was superb!! I stayed in a private room during 7-13 November. It was my first time in Rio, and this was the perfect place to meet people!! They organise lots of events, and having easy access to the beach with a ticket for a free chair is an addes bonus! I can definitely recommend El Misti to others, and will likely stay here (or at least visit the amazing bar during happy hour!!) when I return, muito obrigado El Misti!! Tom"
