"Overall an excellent hotel well located with reserved parking in police car park next door hotel reception even moved my car at some point after an emergency "
"We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and the room was comfortable. A few things to note, though:
- the hotel is a good 15m walk from the walls of Lucca, so you need to plan your days as it’s not easy to pop back during the day, especially in the heat of August. Bike hire is extra - 35 euro a day.
- the pool is lovely - comfortable and a lovely space to relax. However, it’s only open from 10am - 7pm which was a shame as it’s not possible...
"We just returned from a wonderful stay at the Stella B&B in Lucca. Lovely old property, which was gorgeous, our room was spotlessly clean and the building was well managed by Lucia, who was friendly and extremely helpful during our stay.
Breakfast was next door at the Stella patisserie, a fabulous cafe/shop/bar serving guests and locals alike with delicious food and drinks all day and into the evening.
There was also a shared kitchen/diner available downstairs in the building if you wanted to...
"Nice little air B&B very convenient to the train station and entrance to the Lucca city wall. The owners were super nice people! We had a small refrigerator that allowed us to go to the grocery store and live like Italians during our stay."

"Met by Sonia in reception who was just so very helpful. Hotel provided us with bikes to explore the town. Such fun. Then Ricardo helped us get tickets to the Puccini concert in the San Giovanni. We loved Lucca and it was in no small part owing to the lovely people we met in the hotel and in the city.

Ground floor villa apartment with garden and pool, 1 km from the city
10/10 Excellent
"Enrico was communicative and attentive throughout our stay, and most importantly, warm and thoughtful. A true local, his recommendations were very appreciated. The apartment is tastefully renovated, and truly spotless. The dishwasher could use an upgrade, and the bed in the second bedroom isn't quite as comfortable as in the main room bedroom. The beautiful grounds are shared with Enrico's family and a renter, and we had priority use of the wonderful pool which Enrico kept very clean, and which was truly the highlight of our stay. The location is convenient to Lucca, grocery stores, restaurants, bakeries, and the highway from which many towns and beautiful beaches are 30 minutes away, which made for easy grocery runs and day trips.Enrico has many regular visitors, and it's easy to see why. You'll feel right at home."
Charming apartment with 1 bedroom and WiFi, AC outside Lucca's ancient walls.
10/10 Excellent
"Casa Mariposa was a gem. Hidden in a great neighborhood 5 minutes outside the wall, it was gated, quiet and safe. The apartment itself was recently renovated and had wonderful touches.great light with so many windows a desk so I could work a little bit and all the kitchen needs one would want. Bathroom was fabulous and bedroom was large with a storage and a mattress that was really comfortable. It was so nice staying right outside the wall, it was a little more quiet for resting."
Massa Pisana: Villa with pool and big garden at only 3 km far from the centre
10/10 Excellent
"What a fantastic villa for a family holiday. A rural “real “ Italian property with all facilities. The big big plus with this choice is the amazing pool. It is clean, warm & just perfect. We spent soooo many hours playing in the pool. I really can’t emphasise how beautiful it is. I think the only slight negative is that you need to drive to nearest shops & restaurants. We knew this so no issue for us. Hosts were so nice offering lots of advice. The area of Lucca/Pisa are beautiful & will not dissapoint. "
