"Stayed for a nearby wedding. Lovely hotel in a great location"

"Very disappointing to arrive on site a 1845 and discover that there was no restaurant facilities and no bar available for a drink. The booking confirmation stated that both were open 11 till late, but it's actually 6pm when the restaurant closes. There is an expensive shop open to buy student type food, but we didnt fancy pot noodle when we were hoping to be dining in the restaurant. Very misleading information. "

"Overall our two nights were good room and property were very clean and there's a kitchen for food. A couple of points would be to have a blind on the bathroom door window mainly because the morning light comes in and wound add more privacy. Also we found the mattresses uncomfortable and springy so didn't get a great sleep but its a lovely property and would stay again if beds were comfier "

"There are numerous easy going scenic walks to be enjoyed at this location which makes the stay at Ash Farm worthwhile. Our room and especially the bathroom was clean, well appointed and quiet with a garden view. Our only qualm was that the breakfast incurred and additional per person charge. Being a retired couple our breakfast requirements were minimal. However, this resulted in the most expensive charge for a boiled egg and toast I have ever encountered. "The property was very clean. Price was in low range for the area. However, it said it sleeps 6. This can only be true if you are comfortable sharing an essentially twin bed on a sofa bed with someone. There is one very small bed that fits two adults tightly (pushed against wall so one has to climb over the sleeping partner to get out) and two very small sofa beds. Sofa beds did not have sheets though two pillows and duvet was provided. No heat in bathroom and heat was not on when we arrived. It...

"I had a lovely stay at The White Hart. The room was clean and pretty and the dinner and breakfast were both delicious. The staff were very friendly (other than the receptionist) and they went out of their way to make me feel welcome. I will definitely be back."

"Hotel is in a great location for the city. Very clean & the suites have everything you could want. Lovely thick fluffy towels in room & nice products. The only place the hotel falls down is breakfast - the servers are lovely but the operation of getting orders out to guests is incredibly slow & at times chaotic - there were plates of food stacking up at the kitchen bypass with no servers taking the food out. One person was stacking plates…the kitchen area definitely needs addressing as this...
