"Rooms are very sparse (one chair only in a double room, no suitcase stand, no drawers) but clean however, the exterior is not maintained and presents a very poor impression with large potholes in the car park, unkemptand overgrown bushes, rotten door frames, excessive weeds where there used to be flower beds and smokers trash at the entrance. Additional £5 per night parking fee! Probably one of the worst appearance Days Inn we have seen worldwide."

"The hotel was somewhere to stay for the night. Basic, but clean with necessary amenities. The location was a challenge to find on a busy road, but a call to the staff provided a courteous and helpful set of directions, with one outside to guide me into the parking space. En~suite toilet and shower, TV and tea making facilities. Good value for money if you are looking for a cheap and simple place to stay."

"Arrived at the hotel only to find a run down building with broken windows and hotel name. Had booked a double room. During check in was able formed my room was “upgraded” to a deluxe complimentary. Room was on the second floor and there was no elevators. Walked up the stairs the dirtiest stairs ever seemed like it never got cleaned, went to the room. The room itself was rather small for a “deluxe” double had no windows only a tiny little window on the top right side but the ceiling of a wall....

"Always a pleasant stay at the Crown and Mitre. The club rooms and the front of the hotel are super comfy. If their car park is full there is one very close by (yellow sign) £6 overnight (by coins or app). Never had any issues."

"Truly enjoyed my stay. I wanted something with a little character and not a typical hotel. Honestly booked just thinking it was an older Inn and didn't realize until later it was a bed and breakfast. I thought the room was a pretty decent price so was Pleasantly suprised I got a made to order breakfast with my room. The Proprietor is top notch when you need anything and is always happy to help. If you're ok with an older place with some character then I would highly recommend this place."

"Well located hotel for golf at Silloth. The properties decor is a bit tired and in need of some maintenance. The days we stayed there was only one young member of staff on and she had to look after arrivals, bar work and serving of food. Naturally it was a very slow and frustrating evening for customers as she was run off her feet. How she kept a smiling face I do not know. Some of us even asked if we could help her serve behind the bar to relieve the backlog. She politely refused our offers as...

"This hotel provides a basic room. We did not get food here. (Breakfast cost extra) The room had a very strong mothball smell so we opened the window and left a floor fan running all night. Bedside areas need outlets to plug in phones so these rooms need updating. The sink did not have hot water. For the price this room was not worth it."
