Clean room and helpful staff throughout our 5 night stay. Noise from the bar entrance/exit goes on until the small hours of the morning and traffic lights directly below, so recommend room is selected away from the street side as the windows offer absolutely no noise abatement. Food is good with a large selection however no evening food available, so recommend The Anglers opposite for evening meals

I traveled from Japan specifically to visit Annandale Distillery and the Annan Museum, and this hotel was an excellent base for exploring the area. The building has a lot of character and history, but the room and facilities were spotlessly clean and well maintained. I was unsure how to operate the heater in my room, as this type of heating system is uncommon in Japan, but the staff were always happy to help and made me feel welcome. The Scottish full breakfast was delicious. I especially enjoyed the haggis, toast, and butter, as well as the freshly brewed French press coffee. The staff were friendly and professional during both check-in and check-out, making my stay very comfortable. If the hotel bar happens to be closed during your stay, I recommend getting fish and chips from The Cafe Royal nearby. It was an excellent takeaway option. I would happily stay here again when visiting Annan.
