Staff work cheerfully under the friendly manager dubbed the Queen Bee. "Lovely hotel. Everywhere is nice and clean. The room was lovely. Free tea and coffee. Free homemade biscuit. Alcohol if you wanted to purchase. Nice garden at the bag that we sat in. Room was nice and the bed was really comfortable. There was a sitting room but we never used it. I had full English breakfast. It was huge and delicious. Great location. 20 mins walk to centre of York. We were going to The Barbican. It was half hour walk. Thanks for a lovely stay"

"The location is fabulous, the apartment is fantastic and amenities great. The beds were not great, very uncomfortable. They advertise luggage storage and before we checked in they stored our luggage and then took it to our room when the room was ready, that was awesome, but when we asked for luggage storage on our check out we were told we would have to pay.
