"Excellent stay! Staff were wonderful, room was gorgeous and clean, would 100% recommend."

"It was nice and clean."

"Room wasn't what I was expecting- I thought I had booked a larger, more updated room. It was okay but not what I pictured. It was clean and big enough for us but needs to be upgraded. Staff had limited hours and I was leaving very early- I tried calling and texting a number they listed but no response- luckily my daughter could hand in the key. Front desk only greeted when we arrived. Would've been nice if he was friendlier. Shower was always hot (tried to get them to fix it but he couldn't do...

"Location was excellent. Room was ideal, staff were very polite and very helpful. Nice continental breakfast."

"Staff were lovely and very helpful. There was free parking on site, which was a bonus. Breakfast was very good and plentiful including, eggs however you like them, ham and cheese, yoghurt, fruit, cereal, toast and jam, croissants and pain au chocolate. Very nice. Lovely big breakfast room with a view over the garden."

"Staff were very accommodating always with a smile."

"Second stay at this hotel. Staff is very nice, beautiful surroundings and great location. Breakfast was very good."

"This is a lovely hotel. However, the floor plan is very complex. The room we had (and certainly not the cheapest) was on the first floor. Up to the first floor in the elevator. Up several steps, down several steps and then down 2 flights of stairs. This is definitely not accessible."

"The bathroom was handicapped equipped and poorly designed. The water in the shower was not contained and thus, it covered the whole floor and took all night to dry. Not only did your feet get wet when you went to the toilet in the middle of the night it also was slipping hazard. The breakfast was not good. The hotel is conveniently located to Kassam Stadium, but not to the main areas of Oxford. There is a convenient bus stop, but busses take 18-30 minutes to go into Oxford."

"Lovely hotel, great location and nice lobby/bar cafe Would recommend"

"We loved how easy check in and check out. A beautiful lodge with easy access to all the city has to offer"

"Central location, however, photos extremely deceiving on condition of rooms etc. very disappointed. Our daughter’s room had a shower behind entry door w curtain. First time Expedia/hotel completely let me down."

"The hotel appears to have had a fresh renovation and the staff weren’t just welcoming but very hospitable as if they were welcoming you into their personal home. The hotel was in an ideal location for us with a very reasonable cost. Ideal because it is slightly away from the main road but close enough to the bus line to take you back and forth to city center and to Magdalen College which is also walkable from the hotel (8-10min). Many eatery options nearby. A couple of things to note; 1. There...

"Very small rooms and second lock on the door did not work"

"The fact that as a guest paying around £200 a night (which is a lot of money for the general facilities of the hotel) and then you arrive to find that you also have to pay for parking at £10 per day is appalling, and leaves a really bitter taste in your mouth as soon as you have arrived at the property. Needless to say it really tinted our whole stay and I won’t be recommending the hotel to anyone. If you value your hard earned money, don’t stay here."
