"Chris, is one of the most responsive, attentive, considerate and communicative hosts that we have had the pleasure of working with. My family and I felt very cared for during our stay in his home. What stood out about his property was that there were so many thoughtful details throughout the house, for example, knowing that the fire pit was something our family was looking forward to, there were already skewers, graham crackers, marshmallows and Hershey bars available to make Smores.But more importantly, we were all back home in NYC to lay to rest my wife's brother who had passed away recently. Chris' home itself represented more than just a place to lay your head. It was a space of peace and tranquility that was needed for a family grieving the loss of a loved one. There were so many planned dedicated spaces for private conversation and spaces for us to gather as a family to laugh and reflect on our loved one. There is something cathartic about sitting on either the lower deck, main deck or the master bedroom balcony, overlooking the water when the sun goes down. Thank you, Chris, for you attention to detail and providing some solace in our time of need. When we return to NYC, Chris gets the first look....."

"Very nicely decorated, great kitchen, perfect for two people. Very clean! Host was very quick to replace or fix any issues. Easy walk to beach and market. Lots of games, including a Pacman arcade!Regarding the listing accuracy, there is no spa or hot tub, outdoor shower not working, and we saw no smoke detectors, CO2 Alarm, or fire extinguisher. These were not deal breakers for us.Things to keep in mind:If you are tall (over 6'2") your head will hit the I-beams in the ceiling. If you are highly sensitive to musty air, keep in mind this is a basement unit. There is a dehumidifier running 24/7 to reduce moisture levels, and you will have to empty it once or twice a day. Last, other than putting a beach chair in your driveway, there is no outdoor patio, porch or yard to sit in. I did not consider this nor realize how much we'd miss outdoor space. To be fair, it is not advertised as having a place to relax outside, and the price is very fair for what you get. Lastly, bring a beach umbrella. While chairs and passes are provided, an umbrella is not and they are not available for rent on the beach either."
