"I stayed with my two kids 9 and 13 and they loved it. Amazing place with lovely people that staff it, we enjoyed being able to book the private onsen for half hour on the first night and although we couldn’t book it for the second (no times suitable as we had a early morning check out) we got to try their public onsen which was great too. The food is fabulous if you are up for trying different things but I would say it’s a lot of food so don’t eat too much for lunch! Both my kids have peanut...

"Such a nice place to relax and take a moment to enjoy where you are. Food was amazing and staff made you feel at home. Was one of my favourite places to stay. Bed was a little too hard for my partner but good for me. You wear your traditional Japanese pajamas throughout the hotel which added to feeling relaxed. I would recommend private onsen, I used it so much and so glad we opted for it."

"Beautiful scenery and view. The staff is lovely and the atmosphere with the other guests is great. The commune room has a beautiful antique wooden floor and views on the forest! We stayed in a tatami room and it was clean and felt very homely. "

"Very well located Ryokan with a public onsen. The property is a little dated and the onsen was not the cleanest we experienced in Japan but the rooms were clean, comfortable and the location is beautiful. There are not a lot of dining options nearby so I recommend the half board plan. The breakfast and dinner was lovely."
