"The only problem is the pillows resembled flatbread and the big and very comfortable king bed had just two. They looked lost! Also, the heavy patio doors absolutely shake the building when they close so an early riser wakes up everyone. Other than those easily corrected items, the place is stunning and the backyard is beautiful overlooking the Pacific!"

"The cottage and the property are both beautiful. The location is a great with a nice view of the ocean when you are at the edge of the property. The dogs in the kennels do occasionally bark at night and ear plugs came in handy. Most of the time they are quiet and the sounds of the frogs and crickets were so peaceful and amazing. Having morning coffee outside while gazing at the palm trees and listening to the birds was a favorite of ours. Enjoyed the delicious banana bread and fruit."

"Chad & Jennifer have made a beautiful compound, with gardens and spectacular views. The room is lux & complete with robes, treats and coffee. The required lecture/tour lasted almost 2 hours which felt like a significant chunk out of our vacation & is done only once a day between only 3-5pm (if you check in before dark) or 8am. Breakfast is at 7:30am. Nice walks to

"Loved our 5 day stay at the Oceanfront “Treehouse” at Hakalau cliffs, an excellent Hawaiian retreat with the sound of the surf and wind in the palm trees. A great location directly overlooking the Pacific Ocean. I got up early every morning to watch the sun rise and was rewarded to watch several baby whales swimming in front of the property. The house was clean and comfortable. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. They quickly responded to our needs. "
