"We loved staying at CASA Di Palaia, our room was amazing. We loved the steam bath, it was a good surprise as we didn’t know it was there. My fiancé used it each day as he loves steam rooms. Especially came in handy when it rained. The breakfast they put out, Such a great selection of some meat, cheese, breads and pastries. Some yogurt, granola and fruits to choose from. Took a drive out to Greve, wow beautiful little spot. Brought back a meat tray lunch back to B&B, to enjoy on our private balcony. One downside was hot tub wasn’t hot so we didn’t use it. But we also didn’t ask for help so that was our fault. The hosts are fantastic, they did their best to communicate with us. I tried to speak Italian to best of my ability."

"This villa was perfect for our stay. It is beautiful, super comfortable (we had 9 adults) and private yet only 10 min drive to a grocery store and cute restaurants. And a great location for day trips to Siena and local wineries. The hosts were easy to communicate with, and we loved our in home dinner prepared by Simona. I cannot recommend this place enough."

"Our overnight stay here was great. Upon arriving we were asked if we wanted to dine in the restaurant that night and reserved us a spot (the food was delicious so highly recommend). "This was our second visit to Castello Vicchiomaggio but the first overnight there. It's a beautiful historic property that is maintained impeccably. Our room was perfect in every way. We stayed in a junior suite. It was extremely spacious with a separate living room. The decor was very tasteful and the linens were luxurious. The bathroom was spacious with great water pressure. The bath products supplied smelled lovely. The food at the main castle, for breakfast, lunch and dinner, was excellent. The chef is quite talented for sure! After checkin we enjoyed our complimentary gift of wine while sitting under the olive trees taking in the beauty of the valley below. The pool was too cool to enjoy unfortunately but would be excellent on a warmer day for sure. The views are crazy beautiful! After relaxing for a few hours, we enjoyed a tour of the vineyards, and historic cellar, then a wonderful wine paired dinner with live piano music. It was an extremely dreamy experience. We'll definitely return and highly recommend. "

"In lieu of a wedding, we rented the castle for a long weekend family vacation. It was incredible! We had 14 people and all fit comfortably in the rooms. There are many common spaces. Giovanni recommend a wonderful private chef who we used for dinners and breakfasts. Taxis need to be booked far in advance or rent a few cars to get around. In Tuscany taxis tend to book out quickly. We had some family members traveling internationally and arriving early. Giovanni was very helpful in getting their rooms ready first so they could take naps and get settled in. The castle was so much fun to explore! The basement is a wild sight. The rooms were comfortable, large and had amazing views. Visit all of the rooms because they are each unique :) The suites have sinks and refrigerators, which was an unexpected surprise! There are many hiking trails nearby to explore. Bring your binoculars because there is great birding! The pool had shaded areas all day and sunny areas all day. Would go back in a heartbeat!"
