it has views that more expensive venues would envy. We felt that the western side of the lake was the better location anyway, but whether using car, ferry or bus, you won't be too far from the main attractions. The food was excellent, and a well-stocked bar ensured you could always unwind in comfort at the end of a hard day's sightseeing. If I had any suggestions for improvement it...

"This a gem in font of Lake Como, owners and staffs are friendly and welcoming. They booked us a great affordable restaurant near their hotel for dinner and helped us how to use boats around the lake. Room was super clean and view of mountain and lake from the room made us feel staying in heaven. We will definitely visit this hotel again. "Schon bei unserer Ankunft kam die Chefin auf den Hof und bot uns für unsere Motorräder die Garage an, die wir auch für unseren ganzen Aufenthalt kostenlos nutzen konnten. Den Schlüssel gab sie uns gleich auch noch, so dass wir ganz unabhängig waren! Die Chefin und ihr Bruder waren immer immer mit Rat und Tat zur Stelle, in diesem Familienbetrieb fühlt man sich zuhause und prima aufgehoben. Und dann jeden Morgen dieses fantastische Frühstück....!!! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder, v.a. weil man...

"We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Fontanera. Very good communication with the host throughout the whole stay and beyond (as we forgot shoes). The house is perfectly suited for larger groups with individual bathrooms for each room. The views and garden including pool are great. Located on the hill you can choose to either walk to Gravedona (approx. 30 mins), take a bus or the car. We would definitley recommend it."

"Pros: Meget rummelig lejlighed med hyggelig indretning og fine detaljer. Rent og pænt, skøn altan, dejlig pool som vi havde for os selv, fin have med smukkeste udsigt over Como søen. Sød lille lokal kirke ved siden af (kirkeklokker ringer ikke). Meget snævre bjergveje op til boligen. Cons: En smule info liggende i lejligheden med fx restaurant anbefalinger i området og hvordan man kommer med båd til Varenna/Bellagio."
