Hotel staff very attentive and helpful, the room was gorgeous with the most comfortable bed! Yes there is building work going on but didn't distract from our stay. "Hotel as described. 10 minutes walk into Grasmere. Free parking, although I doubt enough if hotel at capacity. Bus stop outside. Breakfast was nice & plenty of options. We had dinner one evening and it was good & good value. Dog friendly, in fact Luna felt bery welcome! We decline one days room clean in exchange for a couple of free drinks, that was a nice idea and encoraged reuse of towels etc All in all great stay"

"It was a one night stay and we were welcomed from the very beginning and given helpful information on local attractions by Mohammed at the reception. The tepidarium, sauna and steam room were excellent. Overall, it was a pleasant experience."

"I loved the Rothay Garden. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating. Excellent food for breakfast and dinner plus lunch from the bar. My room was lovely, overlooking the river with a balcony. Comfy bed and really nice linens which is important to me! All positive, I would highly recommend and I’d love to return. Thank you!"

The staff are excellent, particularly in the FYR restaurant: friendly, helpful and attentive. The food is equally impressive and the hotel itself is clean, comfortable and a pleasure to stay in. "
