"An amazing location and room. Great breakfast and convenient to walkable and drivable Lake District attractions."

"Regrettably our room number 6. Did not smell nice. It had the smell of old wet trainers. We did mention it and a room diffuser was turned on. Some of the fixtures and fitting were falling apart. The shower was head was not appropriate for the size of the shower causing flooding. The staff were lovely and theroom was clean."

"Great location, centrally located for all of the trails, short walk into Grasmere was very convenient, restaurant was a great place to grab a good meal at the end of a long day"

"Second time staying, excellent base for hiking the fells and mountains, especially with the spa for afterwards. Staff are excellent and friendly, looking forward to our next stay."

"Lovely place but one woman Catrina was amazing as she was left to do everything, check us in , run the pub and restaurant. The room was not very clean. I am handicap and it was hard to get around. "

"Great value for the money. Bunk Bed was too firm."

"We stayed 2 nights as a group of 6 in the bunk barn. The room was full of mould. The bunk barn doenst peovide enough space for 6 people and very little space to store belongings. All over the toilet paper and trapped between the sheets of the toilet paper, nevermind the amount in the sink and the...

"It was a great location. We did find the car park a little bit tight and tricky to get into (as the road was fairly busy when we arrived). The cottage was great and had all we were after and the downstairs bathroom was great for my elderly Mum. The two single beds mattresses were a bit past their best so the only thing I’d suggest to improve the property would be an update of those. Otherwise it was a great place to stay right on the river."

"Pros: Beautiful cottage, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds Cons: Living room can get very hot at the height of summer (main window has no shutters) Better go via Sykes or Lakelovers."

"Really comfy, warm apartment with all the facilities needed. Perfect for the village, pubs and shops"

"Home was lovely, the perfect area! Rooms very comfortable and very clean. Could have been more that one roll of loo roll in each toilet as there was 6 of us but other than that it was a perfect stay. "
