"The location is central Grasmere so everything is close to hand. It is a traditional house so expect it to be darkish inside, not a problem as we were out on the fells every day. The owner is most helpful and very handy. The instructions are very modest but our experience of 50+ self-catering holidays meant that was no problem. The car parking is very useful and especially with EV charging included!! Well done Martin."

Overall we had a great stay but there were teething troubles including finding and switching on the WiFi, hooking up the telly and making it actually work, switching on the heating and warming the apartment. "Great central location. Property was well appointed and comfortable. We thought an earlier check in would have improved our experience as it was a very wet day and we were soaking. We didn’t find the cutlery drawer until the next day - we searched everywhere . We eventually rang up and we’re told it was in a hidden drawer . We are still laughing now - it is obvious now we know 😂"

They’ve just had a car parking space put in which is very handy. Great communication with owner throughout. Would definitely come back."

"Lovely friendly welcome...a little old fashioned but lovely in a quaint style...nice and clean...double bed a little on the small side...breakfast was lovely...overall really nice place to stay and really central to the town centre."
