"We feel so lucky that we were able to stay in this beautiful cottage by the sea (FoxKit Cottage!) for 3 nights. The beauty of the area and the sea just enveloped us while we were in the cottage. We were always excited to get back to our little oasis after a long day out! Beth, the host was so warm and made sure we knew that she was easily available just in case. The directions, internet and access were a breeze. The location of this gem was perfect! We hiked Shell beach to Goat rock nearby then enjoyed a quick drive into cut Guerneville to view and smell the Redwoods at Armstrong Nature reserve. It was super close to Jenner where we kayaked the Russian River along side seals and viewed Bald Eagles leaving their nests in the trees on the banks. Sebastopol and Healdsburg are also w/in easy reach for wine country and beautiful town shopping experiences. The place is well appointed, modern which made it so very easy to enjoy our travel. The hot tub was such a nice amenity! And the gardens… unbelievable!!!We highly recommend this gorgeous little place. It absolutely added to and was a huge piece of the amazing trip we experienced. "Everything was spotless, convenient and well thought out! The house was beautiful and the view was stellar. We had gorgeous weather so spent a lot of time on the lovely deck. Comfy beds, well supplied kitchen. We plan to book again!!"

"We rent about 4 beach houses a year since we sold our Santa Cruz oceanfront house after 25 years. We now travel up & down the coast renting super view beach houses & really enjoyed this special house only a two hour drive. We rented it again later in the year we enjoyed it so much. Great views, clean, easy parking, level entry & one level easy for my mobility issues. Nice private closed in courtyard too. Owners obviously take pride in the property."

"We wanted a retreat to get away from the every day and do some writing. We ended up with a second honeymoon! STBH is a peaceful, beautiful home right across from the beach. While everyone else was driving up the 1 to find a spot to watch the sunsets, we cozied up on the large deck or inside the living room with picture windows and watched the most spectacular sunsets. When not writing, we found that we were so close to Redwoods forests, vineyards and of course the gorgeous coast. We were able to reconnect with each other and with nature. Will be back!"

"This was our fourth (maybe fifth!) stay at Surfscape, and we will definitely be back again, hopefully soon . The house sits right above the ocean, where the powerful waves crash against the rocks and create the most soothing, unforgettable sound. The fresh salty air, the ever-changing ocean views, and the mesmerizing sunsets can be enjoyed from inside the house or out on the deck…just magical. Fun to go down to the tide pools…practically your own private beach. Never disappoints, always gets better with Pierre’s extra touches! The stars at night are not to be missed. With little light from other sources the stars seem to be right on top of the house. Almost 200 degrees of view you can easily see the shooting star once in a while. "
