"Had a pleasant two night stay here. We asked for a high floor and quiet area as we are light sleepers, and we had two good nights sleep. Staff were welcoming, room was spacious with everything we needed. Breakfasts were good with plenty of choice, friendly staff and a pleasant restaurant. Location is perfect for Newcastle City Centre, and our visit to St James’ Park for a match. It’s our 2nd stay here and will definitely return when we need a stay in this area again. My only niggle was bathroom is quite small and had a slight musty smell. Many thanks to everyone!"

"Room was lovely, but its the fine details that get missed , the shower head had mould on the shower head and it flooded, no fridge in the rooms , air conditioning was a god send, the nets in the bedroom was mouldy Lovely hotel and breakfast was nice too, a lovely nights stay, staff very welcoming"

"To start this was a last minute booking as I was travelling back home from Scotland with 2 broken ankles! Called that morning and spoke to Zoe who was amazing 🤩 she sorted us ground floor room's as close to the front door as possible. The beds were really comfy and for 1night all I needed was rest. Yes it looks a little tired but they have great renovations planned. The breakfast (paid separately) is so worth it Zoe also catered for my need's amazing. We shall return. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

"This hotel was a fabulous find for visiting Beamish and the surrounding area. Lovely clean and modern rooms, fabulous breakfast and wonderful food in the attached pub restaurant. Excellent"

"The hotel itself was excellent, as were the staff. The attached restaurant however, was atrocious. The service was practically non existent. We had tea and (very nice) cake there in the afternoon (eventually), and when we turned up for breakfast the next morning, our tea dishes were still on the table. At dinner time we sat for fifteen minutes before having to go and find someone to take our order. Frozen chips took a hour to arrive. In the morning, despite arriving 15mins after breakfast was advertised, we were told that the chef hadn’t turned up yet. When we were eventually served, the advertised ‘fry up’ meal was made up of the cheapest ingredients eg frankfurter sausages. We were mostly the only customers at the restaurant, and now we know why. This really put us off what was a wonderful hotel."

"What a great find, ideal for Radio 1 Big Weekend.Arrived on Thursday night to easy check-in.The apartment was on fourth floor - luckily there is a lift.The apartment was clean and has a homely feel.The kitchen is well equipped, not that we really spent much time cooking. There was tea towels, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid. We were a little dubious about the mattress on the beds as they are quite soft, but we slept really well and I didn’t struggle with my back - so big bonus.The bathroom was clean and had hand soap already which is fab. The bath towels were lovely and proper big bath towels. Across the road is an Asda garage and Greggs - don’t know what they are like so can’t comment. But ideal if you forget anything. We would definitely stay again - if coming up to the area."
