English Bay Hotel

"There was a very strong smell of an industrial type cleaner in the room. Very old carpet. Stove very old and falling apart. Window latch not working properly. Air conditioner behind window drapes. Temporary floor covering in front of the elevator. Overall a very poor stay in a hotel that was misrepresented in the advertising. I will never go back there."

"The staff were welcoming and friendly, allowing us to check in early as we had just arrived after a cruise The hotel was situated very close to English Bay beach which we visited on both days of our stay. There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The only negative is the lifts/ elevators. We found them to be erratic and in need of refurbishment."
