"The property had a beautiful country setting. It reminded me of an old farmhouse. The outside entertainment area was great. Unfortunately we weren’t able to enjoy it due to the mosquitoes. The property owner supplied us with citronella candles but the bugs won! There isn’t any air conditioning including the bedrooms. It was quite war despite the ceiling fans and we couldn’t leave the windows open because of the bugs. It was a nice retreat after being in the busy city of Bologna."

"We used the woodfired oven and made our own pizza, swam in the pool and visited the fantastic beach club nearby. This was an experience straight out of a movie and one that I will last a lifetime. The host was super professional and helpful. Will dream of coming back."

"The villa was quaintly rustic and set in a beautiful setting. The property was immaculately clean and had all (and more) supplies, should you have forgotten anything! The surroundings were quiet, with the maintained pool a great feature during hot days! The property had a really nice warm and cozy feel, which was echoed by all the guests that were staying there. The town of Bagni Di Lucca catered for all your grocery needs, to which I would suggest visiting before you head up to the villa....

Alessandro (the owner) was wonderful - charming and helpful but also discreet, coming early in the morning to clean the pool each day without disturbing his slumbering guests! When we arrived there was an issue with the wi-fi but Alessandro sorted it out and came back the next morning with a brand new router. "Overall a great place to stay. The hill up to the property and track down are challenging so you will need a car and be a confident driver. Local restaurant was fantastic and only 5 min car trip away. Villa is high quality and in great position for views and pool a very good size. "A lovely new & modern hotel. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the service from all staff was great. The pool area is spacious & comfortable and will be even better once the final bits of construction are finished and the pool bar is open. We dined in the restaurant each night and enjoyed the varied menu & excellent wine selection. Breakfast is also good with plenty of buffet & a la carte options. My family thoroughly enjoyed a very relaxing time here and would recommend. "
