"Stunning property with beautiful views. Very quiet area! House was very clean and the garden was beautiful . We did not have a car , but Diego helped us communicate with the local taxi service. Taxi took us into the town of Barga when we needed and picked us up ! Diego was also very quick to respond and willing to help out with anything we needed . Great experience. Thank you !"

"Pure tranquility with the constant burble of the trout stream. The house is quite someway up a mountain, down a dirt track and in a valley - not for the faint hearted. Pool relies on sun to heat and the temperature was still quite fresh in June. Great location for access to Florence, Pisa, Chianti wine region, and host of beautiful hilltop towns and villages. "The house was very clean, comfortable and spacious and we never tired of the superlative views across the valley. Diego and his dad are lovely and always available when needed. If I was to suggest an improvement, it would be a little more kitchen equipment - there was no sharp knife for cooking, no collander, few wine glasses and an oven tray that didn’t fit the oven. A small point that did not detract from a great week in a stand out property. Highly recommended!"

Beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of hangers and shelves for our clothing. The owner is a decorator and his home is like a showroom for his talent and taste. We even visited his design shop where we loved things everywhere we looked. "Views to die for. Very private in a tiny village this was a very nice place to stay. Rina was a great host and by friendly. There is a little shop in the next village that we would walk to to get lunch. Bagni di Lucca is the local town, 15 minutes down the hill with lot of shops and restaurants. We spent most of the time relaxing at the villa but did enjoy a visit to Lucca."

"Overall a great place to stay. The hill up to the property and track down are challenging so you will need a car and be a confident driver. Local restaurant was fantastic and only 5 min car trip away. Villa is high quality and in great position for views and pool a very good size.
