"I don’t normally review branded hotels like the Hilton as they’re a big enough company and they’re normally just ‘okay’. However, this one was a bit different. The hotel staff had the normal, northern friendliness and charm. Although the bed was only a double in the one we stayed in, it was very comfy as were the pillows. The hotel was clean and although you can spot the odd well-worn parts if you look carefully, they are currently in the process of a refurb to deal with this. It was the breakfast that impressed me the most; a great choice and really good standard of cooking for buffet-style food. Overall, the ‘big chain’ hotel I’ve stayed in for a while, and all for £75 for a night inc breakfast for four. Bargain! "
