"Excellent location, set back from any main roads. Extremely peaceful but exactly what you need for a weekend away. Pond outside of the cabin made it gorgeous for a lovely drink in the morning to start the day. Scott was a fantastic host and extremely helpful and friendly. Would definitely return. "

"Lovely cabin ! Me and my son had a couple of nights. Has everything you needed to make a meal. Very clean and plenty of space. We got there a bit earlier than planned but mark was more than happy to let us in as the cabin was ready. The decking was a little green and slippy due to the rain and time of year. Could maybe do with a presure wash.but didnt spoil anything. All in all a lovely clean site /cabin/hot tub and will definitely come again."

"We booked the micro cabin for 2 adults and 2 kids, in the description they say the sofa was a pull out this is not the case it's a sofa where you click the back down and it was certainly not big enough for our 2 children. The place was not cleaned properly, which was disappointing and the amount of flies we had to put up with in the cabin was horrendous. The small window to the bedroom area was cracked which I would think should be repaired. For you you pay it was definitely disappointing."

"Lodge was beautiful massive very well maintained, a lot of items included which was surprised about had own Bose system included. Beautiful surrounding. Only recommendation would be to take own toilet roll ha ha, dependant on stay would definitely go again."

"Property not cleaned on arrival. Helpful ladies arrived an hour later. No instructions of any kind for water, heating, cooker etc. No local info about shops, pubs, services etc. Awful double mattress. Despite aĺl that, a most impressive and comfortable static in an amazing location overlooking the North Sea - sunrises to die for."

"We had a great weekend staying in the Essex lodge. I found everything to be as described on the website and the hot tub was perfect. Some nice little touches with the sports equipment on the field and the walk in the woods is a hidden gem, well worth the effort. Overall a good area to visit with plenty to do."

"Property needed a deep clean. I sneezed a lot and had black dust come out of my nose. Heating didn’t work sometimes and the room was quite cold. I booked through Expedia and check out said 11 am and I wasn’t told any check out time by the owner. On the morning of check out a cleaner knocked at the door and we shouted we were still inside. "Brilliant place to stay as a family, very clean and lovely place to stay, location by a private farm in the sticks you’re surrounded by grass, views, water and horses it’s beautiful. Great size accommodation and with modern kitchen and bathroom making staying here great. Located close to mainly areas, Beamish, Newcastle, Durham etc. Can’t recommend this place enough a lovely cozy warm stay."
