"This is an exceptional cottage with lovely views of the lake. It's just a few minutes drive to Westport which has interesting shops and a good grocery store. The owner was so cooperative and easy to deal with that I have booked a time in June and can't wait to get back to this wonderful cottage. The only caution is that there are stairs to get to the lake which should be considered for someone with mobility issues. "

"Happy with our 1st stay in the large family suite and the good breakfast ($7/person), we booked again on way back for the Champagne suite. The well kept big house can view the river from balconies of some rooms or the rooftop terrace (don't miss the sunrises). The hosts live on site and the lady was friendly and nice to talk to."

"What a beautiful, quaint B&B. My daughter and I felt so at home here, and she actually asked if we could live there. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the host and hostess were wonderful to talk to. So friendly and we're quick to ask if there was anything we needed. "Before you judge the accommodations, keep in mind this historic hotel was built as a family home/farm in the 1800's. If you are looking for luxury accommodations then this is not for you, and if the room is the most important thing then you are truly missing the point of what this area has to offer. The rooms face the most beautiful lake and in the morning a homemade breakfast with your coffee and take it all in, look at the lock and watch as boats make their way....the hosts Jeff and Core are...
