"Solid "5s" for the room. Best bed we've slept in yet, and we travel several times a year. Food ... hm. Late-night at the snack bar: tacos, EXCELLENT. Chicken strips, BORDERLINE AWFUL (incinerated and unchewable), plus unfriendly staff at the counter. Breakfast: Server wasn't attentive and had her priorities mixed up. We are a former restaurant owner (independent diner, 10 years) and chain restaurant manager, and always treat staff with courtesy and respect regardless of service or food quality....

One of the front desk people, Sam, was lightning quick and super helpful in getting the microwave plugged in and working literally within 1 minute of reporting it, so kudos! Great stay overall and would recommend. Parking was plenty and easy. Breakfast was just okay, nothing special."

"Because of the Marathon thru the Avenue of the Giants was this weekend, it was very hard to find a room. This was the only place available and even though the rates were extremely high, we were pleasantly surprised with the property and staff. the early breakfast was an added benefit before we hit the road to the Redwood National Parks. I would stay there again if in the area. Front desk staff was very helpful."

"This place is all about location. The experience in a 2-room suite was like staying at the home of an elderly relative who hasn’t updated their furnishings since the 70s. The rooms were spacious but a bit musty and quite worn. But it’s half a block to the main street so overall it’s a good choice if you don’t mind the thin walls and shag carpeting."

"The property was decent. The front lobby is nice. There is a pool and games for people to play. There was a great outdoor space for people to grill and hangout. The breakfast was fair. Fruit, cereal and microwave able items in the refrigerator. The rooms were a bit dated and the beds were less than desirable. The staff was helpful and nice. You get what you pay for."

"The motel is situated right before the entrance of the Avenue of Giants in Humboldt Redwoods State Park. There is a bar that is right next to the motel that was playing music till late into the night. The room itself was a bit dusky and some of the furnishings need to be updated, but it was manageable for a one night stay."
