The history is unparalleled, the food is to die for, and there's always the Mediterranean... That said, be sure it's what your looking for, there's many stairs, the driving and parking can be a real challenge, especially in the medieval centers. For us though, it was the trip of a lifetime."

"The villa is an old family home and is situated within a lemon orchard. It has fabulous views to Etna and the sea, with a small stony beach, not crowded, in 1 km distance. There is a nostalgic touch on almost everything in the villa, a thing I really enjoyed. The surroundig ground has something of an enchanted garden with many lovely places. "My husband and I stayed there since our flight from Catania airport was super early the next day. The service was good we asked to be moved from the first room since it was not that clean. The front desk rep. did move us no problem. However he failed to let us know that there is a way to go across the street to the beach with chairs and umbrellas. The restaurant was good and the atmosphere was good."
