"If I could give this place zero stars I would. The rooms are disgusting and look nothing like they look on the pictures online. The room they gave me had mold on the lampshade, paint chipping off the walls, broken outlet covers with exposed outlets. I asked the front desk person if I could cancel my reservation that I only reserved only an hour and a half before I got there, and he told me that I could cancel but he would charge me $800 if I did. I still didn't stay in the room. I left immediately. I booked through Expedia and after one month of discussion with Expedia they refunded my money. Expedia was never able to get ahold of the hotel for approval of my refund so they refunded me on their own. This is a shady, dirty place."

"Perfect family owned facility. They make you feel right at home. From advice of where to eat, pool and beach towels, beach chairs and even sand buckets I saw for the kids to use which makes traveling a breeze. Boardwalk and beach access is a hop skip and jump across the street. No crazy elevator wait times or crowds in your way at The Darlington. This is our forever weekend getaway place. Thanks Darlington Crew! 10 Stars if I could. See you next summer! "

"It was close to everything"

"This was a great place for our family vacation. The water park gave my child a place to play when the weather wasn't great for the beach or when we didn't feel like getting sandy. As others have mentioned, there are times when the elevators aren't enough to handle the traffic. I called those times rush hours - when people are checking out and checking in, and one time when the water park had to close due to storms."
