On our first day after stepping into our room, we requested a different room. We paid for oceanfront but we were on the second floor and all we could see was trees, no ocean view. We were told to check with the office in the morning to see if there was another room available. Still on the first day... the air conditioning unit was putting water all over the floor inside the room and on the balcony. When we woke the next morning, we found all the disgusting stains on the boxspring cover of the bed. Also the entrance door for the room would not go shut without slamming and pushing extra hard on it. By this time we were over this place. We were given two rooms to choose from to switch one on the 6th and 9th floors. We chose the 9th floor. Don't count on being able to cook your own meals in this place. In both rooms, the stoves were not level and rocked back and forth. I was able to make grilled cheese sandwiches one night but I had to open the balcony and entrance door so the air would pass through and not set off the smoke alarm because the stove was smoking as soon as I turned on the burner. The coffee pot was a rusted mess, thank goodness I brought my own coffee pot so we at least had good coffee for the week. Not a good experience at all! Will never stay at this hotel again! This hotel was terrible!

I understand that this is an older hotel, but I was so disappointed. The table in our room was broken. The door to the balcony got stuck several times when we tried to open and close it. There was used toilet paper on the floor near the bed. The mattress was terrible. At the pool there was drink cans rolling around even straws and bottles floating in the pool. No one seemed to care. There was a water hose running into the kiddie pool. Kids kept grabbing it and spraying everyone. We won’t be staying here again. It just seems like no one cares about the property. It’s a great location, but please don’t waste your money.

The Good: Staff was VERY Helpful and nice. The allowed early check in, supplied fresh towels and supplies when asked , and assisted with several other questions we had. The price for a week wasn't to bad for an ocean front view. The not so good: Mold in the a/c units and bathroom walls. Not a lot but present if you look. The hotel is old and you can tell. It looks to have been remodeled within the last few years. Doors weren't closing properly, our AC unit fell from the wall partially ( they were quick to come look but maintenance was gone for the night). The kitchen and bathroom lights would work some times. Other times the switch wouldn't do anything. Other: The pools were nice and clean. The concrete around the pool was falling apart. Laundry and ice machine were in the lobby building and easy to access. Parking seemed plentiful although could possibly fill later in the day. Overall not amazing but not horrible. Not sure if I'd stay or not again.

The view and location are great however the room was very dirty. The bathroom door did not close, the shower was absolutely unacceptable, with hair all over. There were also cockroaches in our room. We had to go get our own clean towels and a new roll of toilet paper. There was trash under the beds and the floors were dirty.

The Windsurfer was *fine*. If you’re looking for an inexpensive place to stay near the beach, you can’t go wrong. Was it the cleanest? No. Did I see roaches in my room? Yes. The elevator was hot, humid, and dirty … not to mention SLOW. I tried taking the stairs, but only did that once because the smell of urine was overpowering and made me gag. The pools were small, but did the job. We had never been to Myrtle before and didn’t know the area. Next time I’ll spend a little more and stay in a nicer, cleaner hotel a bit further north.

Absolutely disgusting rooms. Walked in had a paper plate and plastic fork under the bed . I had to go get a broom to sweep the floor. It smelt like mold .. water leaking all over carpet under air conditioner so we had to move rooms . Next room same issue with air conditioner leaking but room was hot air conditioner needed replaced/repaired . Cockroaches in the elevators thankfully none in either room we had. Both toilets were about to fall off every time you sat on it. You felt like you were gonna hit the floor Every time we turn the stove on smoke alarm went off… I have a couple videos as well of the water in the carpet and on the floor it won’t let me upload… So we had to hear that the whole time we cooked.Several other issues but I hope you get the point I’m not happy for what I paid to stay here for 2 rooms 1700$$ . Ridiculous!
