"The location was great for exploring Manhattan with subway stops 5 and 10 minutes from the hotel. The immediate surrounding area itself has little to offer, but there is a Dunkin nearby and a couple convenience type stores. The view was great and the room was spacious and clean. The main drawback for me was the mattresses which were so hard that I woke in pain every morning - they need to do something about that. Also the TV/remote was baffling to the point we just didn't use. The staff was fine but understand this is not a full service type hotel. If you prioritize a convenient and reasonably priced place to explore Manhattan by subway, this is a good option."

"AWFUL experience here! Incompetent and rude customer service. Forgot my camera bag, and housekeeper stole it. Management never apologized. They were able to get camera back a few days later, but I was already home and had to drive 5 hours back to get it. Manager is rarely there and doesn't respond to phone calls."

"The hotel looked run down. Shelving in bathroom was falling off the wall. No hot water, staff knew of the problem but did not bother mentioning it. No appoligies, and no discounts given "
