The hotel was newly opened about a week ago so there was still some construction taking place. However, the location was good, and the stay was very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were big and comfortable. The hotel is very aesthetically pleasing and modern
Was pleasantly surprised by thiw property. Although it was a little out of the way, it was well worth it. Clean hotel with a pleasant staff. Decent views of NYC
I stayed at the LUX Hotel on opening day. The place was clean and quiet, considering the area. The font desk staff was very focus on customer service. I mean I forgot my phone charger at home and the front desk charged my phone at least to 10% while I went looking for an actual adapter a near by Gas station, at 4 am.
Some minor set backs like (Not every lamp had a bulb) and the only mirror was in the bathroom. (But it was opening night, so i will not formally put that as a negative.
I also hope that the prices do not go up that much after the grace period of grand opening.
Its a really nice hotel. The bed was super comfy, room very clean, bathroom sparkly like new. That's all I need. Not many bells and whistles. No coffee pot in room but they have coffee in the lobby with a small microwave.
The neighborhood is ok. Mixed culture and factories. Its not near anything major for food so make sure you bring your snacks, WATER and food with you or you will have to walk a few blocks to your right for a Bodega. There is a nice size refrigerator in the room too.
Overall no complaints with this hotel. you will like it

I was in on a business trip and used this hotel as a pit stop from Manhattan to Laguardia for one night, keep this in mind. I was unaware my Uber was at the hotel because it’s under construction so don’t rely on the picture of the outside. On that note, I feel like I heard drilling all morning and early too which disrupted my sleep. My room was cold and the control didn’t work, had to ask the front desk for a blanket. Room was not clean in terms of the fridge still having the old residents food in there. Random alarm at 1:30am. You’re lucky if the toilets actually clean and you get more than two towels. Neighborhood is a bit sketchy especially off a 10 min walk from the subway station at night. Don’t think I’d book again.
I never write reviews but I am going to be honest so this may be a lengthy one but does need to read by those not familiar with queens or NYC. The hotel is still under renovation and expected to hear Drilling all day starting for 8 am to 5 pm. The A/C really does not work and the hot water is not the greatest. The bedding comforter sheet is very thin so if its cold you will be cold at night. You have to know this is a BARE BONES NO FRILLS hotel so don't expect much and do not overpay for this property. Anything over $350 a night is not worth it !! ITS bare bones and in a very sketchy neighbourhood. The AREA IS THE PROBLEM. Yes its a 10 min walk to the subway which is great but there is not much around for food. So if your happy with a Queens Deli full of people high on drugs or a Wendy's Restaurant there is not much else. I WOULD NEVER EVER LET MY DAUGHTER OR WIFE STAY HERE ALONE at night in this area. If your a solo female traveller i would highly advice you to really research the area. As i said this is a bare bones no frills hotel surrounded by Auto chop shops everywhere and a Taxi repair shop. People smoking drugs or high on something. If you like coffee you have dunken donuts near by or the gas station coffee which is pretty good actually. There is NO Street Parking or on Site. The staff is nice so if your reading this im sorry. Its not your fault. I 100 % blame the company who decided to put this bare bones hotel in this Area !
