"This hotel was really great. We had 2 rooms, one for the kids and one for us. Both were clean, and lovely. The include nica breakfast was delicious and the restaurant for dinner was very good. I highly recommend hiking down to the lagoon and spending some time at the laguna

"Laguna de Apoyo is truly a paradise location. Birds and sometimes monkeys and iguanas coming close.The next door hotel is not functioning, so the place is quite calm.Swimming in the Laguna is a incredible treat!Unfortunately 'La Giralda' really needs investment and renovation.The air conditioning is so noisy that it is impossible to use. We had to do with the old clicking ceilings fans.Rudimentary kitchen.Don't expect to use the kayaks, the owner forgets to say that the seats are broken.Also, it...

"The villa itself was beautiful !! Gorgeous views, wonderful pool, trails to hike, great people staffing as well as others staying on the property. 8 bungalows with other guests, and still very private. Access was a bit difficult. Road to property is dirt and very rough with many potholes from rainy season. Not regular car access type. Roads in Nicaragua leave much to be desired.. to say the least. Highways are excellent but be prepared for the driving !!"
