The room smelt horrible, had crystallised damp on the walls, a dirty bathroom (especially the shower curtain), electric wires exposed on appliances and overall of a general poor standard. Breakfast choices were extremely limited and questionable hygiene levels. The only good thing was its location to Petra entrance and free car parking. Worse...

"As my review indicates, this is a good property. It is situated on a hill directly opposite the Shobak castle. Walking there takes 30 minutes. If you have a car or are with a tour, the location is fine. Shobak itself is a very small, mostly agricultural place with nothing to do, and the hotel is a couple of kilometers out of town. So, don’t go there without some kind of transportation and don’t expect entertainment or shopping nearby. But, the hotel is totally fine."
