The room smelt horrible, had crystallised damp on the walls, a dirty bathroom (especially the shower curtain), electric wires exposed on appliances and overall of a general poor standard. "We loved our stay at the Edom Hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was included, and they even gave us a complimentary selection of drinks and snacks in our room. The price for the room was reasonable, and you get a lot of bang for your buck. It’s close to Petra, and we would absolutely stay here again. "

"As my review indicates, this is a good property. It is situated on a hill directly opposite the Shobak castle. Walking there takes 30 minutes. If you have a car or are with a tour, the location is fine. Shobak itself is a very small, mostly agricultural place with nothing to do, and the hotel is a couple of kilometers out of town. So, don’t go there without some kind of transportation and don’t expect entertainment or shopping nearby. But, the hotel is totally fine."

"This hotel was the perfect place to base myself for exploring Petra. I received a free upgrade to a bigger room on arrival with a gorgeous view out over the valley. The hotel is out of the way of the hustle and bustle of the main street of Petra which I thought might have been a bit disappointing but proved to be great respite.
