Staff were friendly on check in but when we asked to leave our luggage for a couple hours before check in they just let you tag it yourself and leave it in the lobby not secured.. we were worried all day about our luggage even though we know Japan is known for being safe. "The hotel is well situated in the downtown area of Kyoto, close to Nishiki market and plenty of shopping and food options. Our room was a nice size with a comfortable bed. The only complaint about the room was the lack of 100V outlets. I've stayed in many hotels in the country and know this is not always provided, so I'm not faulting the hotel too much for this.
