"Very, convenient, walkable to center of town, very helpful staff, nice property"

"We are a family of four, with two college-age children, and had a wonderful stay at the Samovar. We stayed in one of the family rooms, which was perfect for us (with two beds in a spacious upstairs loft). The hotel is perfectly located -- literally across the street from the Dailles gondola (and only about a block from the funicular to the summit). There are a couple of restaurants nearby, including a great Savoyarde spot across the street. There is a regular shuttle bus to the main village of...

"Food: good but expensive. Room: shockingly small although very clean. The worst aspect of the room was that there was no A/C which we would have expected for the price of the room. The area was noisy (loud music which we were not sure whether it was coming from the hotel or elsewhere) and the hotel is on a main road so our sleep was disturbed if we kept the balcony door open. In the end we decided to close it to have some peace but we were sweltering. I tried to call reception to ask about...

"Absolutely perfect resort for families with small children. The service is excellent. The staff is lovely. I loved it so much that I extended our stay a second night. Highly recommend!"

"The hotel was nice, however a fridge in the room would have been nice 😊 Also the directions given for the parking were terrible, the addres/name given to enter into GPS only took you to the exit of the parking garage. "

"Love the location of the hotel- right at the expressway exit if you're driving into Lyon and convenient local tram connections to city centre. Quiet and tranquil with a huge park and by the Rhone nearby. The property is very dated and seen better days. We were on the 6th floor and it smelled musky with a hint of sewage. Check in and check out staff were very friendly and welcoming."

"The room was small but the problem with the heat, plus the restaurant was closed however the swimming pool was an extra plus and all the restaurants in the village was closed because of the season. It was a good location for visiting the region."
