The longer we stayed the better we liked the city. The restaurants were amazing, the shopping was good, the museums and sites were top notch. Taxi service was lacking and public restrooms at the park were nonexistent. No other complaints!

Using stairs to Fourviêre a must if you can and if you can find the pancake place at La Crois Rousse a treat for breakfast, staff great and willing to assist you even if your French isn't great but they like that you try

Lyon has many iconic buildings and is quite walkable. It also has a light rail (which we didn't use) that goes all over the city for even more convenience. Overall we enjoyed its more relaxed vibe.

Lyon was an incredible city! So glad we went out of the way to visit! The common retort that it should be the first city of France feels right!! The roman ruins alone were worth the trek!

"The hotel let me checkin early and the staff was very helpful. He asked me to not step into the luggage room because it had a strong smell. Very comfortable double bed with private bathroom for a very good price. It’s a 20 min commute to the city centre but only 10 min walk tog he Lyon train station.
