"Nice place, only an overnight stay. A slight walk from the main road if you're on foot, under 10 mins. No direct transport from Newton Abbot station but if you fancy a 30-minute walk it's not a bad route. On the tip end of River Teign and quite scenic with a nice outdoor garden. Guessing you can take dogs in as they have a dog wash on site :) Restaurant and bar has some good choices."

"Food was great, staff very helpful, bar and dining room very tidy and clean, good range of drinks, both alcoholic and soft although I am out of touch with prices so had a bit of a shock. This is not a negative, just reality. Plenty of parking and convenient at the rear to avoid stairs. Some areas are in need of decorating such as stairwell and corridors however not terrible. Outside areas need tidying around the back of the building but the beer garden/smoking area was good. Wheel chair...

"Excellent service, by a great team everyone is really welcoming. The hotel is a period property, and is due a bit of a refresh. The location of the hotel is excellent for river trips, exploring Fore st and buses to the local area. Very pet friendly!"

"Outdoor pool has been out of action for some time, no mention of this on the web site... The hotel Is listed, as having indoor and out door pools which was one the reasons we pick it. The weather was fabulous and we were disappointed there was no out door pool facility..."
