"Great location with direct SkyTrain access to YVR — only about 10–15 minutes from the airport. The room was clean, and the convenience of the transit connection made travel very easy. Unfortunately, the hotel seemed focused on recovering revenue through a series of additional charges. A resort fee was added, along with a 2% credit card surcharge. When I needed cash for housekeeping tips, the ATM charged a $6 withdrawal fee. Later, when I returned to ask for change so I could leave a tip, I was directed to the gift shop rather than being assisted at the front desk. As a result, I ended up not leaving a tip, which was disappointing. There were also a few operational issues. The room did not have a privacy/do-not-disturb sign, and the refrigerator emitted a loud droning noise that appeared to indicate a fault. I had to unplug it to get some sleep. Overall, the location is excellent and hard to beat for airport access, but the extra fees and small service frustrations took away from the experience."
