"Good location for sightseeing. Spotlessly clean, friendly staff. Breakfast was good, replenishment at times was poor. Housekeeping was a bit random. Clean room and fresh towels every day, but never replenished creams for coffee. On 2 different occasions removed teaspoons and mugs, presumably for cleaning, but did not replace. Over all would recommend"

"The property was beautiful but there were problems with the bathroom floor being very slippery when wet and the shower did not drain properly. Another issue was the plumbing noise whenever an upper floor flushed"

"Quaint hotel located in a good area to explore the city. Cute breakfast room and garden area for drinks. We had wine out there one night. Nice staff members. We happened to be there during a heat wave so room was really hot when we arrived and curtains closed to keep out the sun, so dark and stifling when we walked in. Wish the air was a little cooler, we had it on the lowest setting and were still warm. Breakfast was ok but yesterday when we arrived an hour before breakfast ended all of the tables were still dirty and there were few choices left. They ran out of mostly everything. Room was a little small but updated bathroom which was nice and great shower pressure. Would have liked one comfortable chair in the room but I guess there’s not much space for it. Overall it was a cute, old, European feel hotel. A few tweaks would have made it even better."

"It was absolutely delightful very clean. People were very friendly. My only concern and it wasn’t nothing to do with them was the language barrier I didn’t speak Portuguese very well, so it was hard to get through that but we found people that also spoke English so it turned out to be great so I really don’t have any complaints. I’d recommend this property to stay five star."

"The room and the hotel are well maintainedand we had a great view of the river on a balcony. The page states there is parking, but when we arrived we were told there was no room for our car. We had to go to a public parking lot and walk back to the hotel. The next day I asked and there was a parking space for us ,but to my surprise as we left we were charged 22 euros per night. The website should claraly state they have 23 parking spots for 100 rooms and should state that the guest will be charged. It is also a healthy walk to get to the central part of the city and the hills are steep to visit places. Some staff were helpful and other fairly indifferent."

"Overall a good hotel, very clean and with very helpful staff. The breakfast was excellent and again the breakfast staff were efficient and friendly in a busy environment. So the only gripe was the fact that having paid for a river facing balcony room, cheesed off to find heavy building work going on right on the forecourt front of the hotel affecting all the balcony rooms that were above it (most of them!). As such, the balcony was useless and coated in debris. There was no notice of this or reduction in price and not even a complementary drink/meal to compensate. As paid upfront on Expedia, no options. So, thankfully it was just for a few nights. The hotel would be very good when construction finished but management could have been a bit proactive in their attitude."

"The hotel is conveniently located close to the city center. It has a very unique vibe and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. When we advised them we were leaving early in the morning to get the to Lisbon, and we would have missed breakfast, they prepared a small care package for the drive. We didn't ask for it, but they offered it. That's how amazing this hotel is. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great stay,"
