"You need sharp eyesight to see the hotel as it's right on the roundabout. It was perfectly placed for where we needed to be the next day. Parking was not a problem. The room was an odd shape and in need of new carpet. The doors are fire doors and they really did Bang shut every time someone came in our out of the coach house. The staff were Friendly and very helpful without being intrusive . The tables in the restaurant felt sticky which slightly puts you off although the meals were good. Breakfast set us up for the day it was excellent."

"Reception was excellent. Grounds/estate amazing, miles of walking and an historic church with a 900 or so old Yew. It is worth reading the history of the place, layers and layers of it. They take beautiful care of the property. I had a beautiful room with a beautiful view right out my doors and a little patio. They do host big events ie weddings and it is not as peaceful, so you may want to check if there is a big event - IF you are seeking more quiet. I would return in a blink. In general i have found Hand Picked Hotels is gracious and treats guests like the manor house staff would have treated the owners. part of the history includes the 1987 storm went thru there a interesting to look at what happened. convenient to Sheffiled Park but take time to walk at Buxted also"

"This was such a wonderful find. We enjoyed our stay immensely and it was in a perfect location for us, (having previously lived in the area) we found our way around easily.The hosts were so generous with their welcome hamper, which was a welcome surprise from our long journey, it made the stay all the more relaxing. "Fiona met us at the property she was extremely attentive and thoughtful. She made th bungalow very welcoming adding extra supplies like a box of chocolate wine and nosh! We got a new minibus service which takes you 13 miles wherever you want. We also found local taxis very helpful. Absolutely lovely bungalow quiet and nice neighbours. Thank you Fiona."
