"Nice place to stay but it was cold outside and the rooms were cold despite radiators. They need to put spare blankets in each room. Located right in the middle of the village which was excellent. Very narrow entrance for car parking at rear of hotel "

"What a lovely stay in Bourton … accommodation was perfectly located, clean, bedroom and bathroom were huge, delicious breakfast, friendly hosts, and private parking on the drive was really convenient. We would definitely stay again."

"The host was welcoming and attentive. My vegetarian breakfast was tasty and very nice. Parking outside property. Room was clean and comfortable. Heat control tap was stiff and struggled to release a cooler temperature in the shower. Otherwise a lovely stay. "

"A beautiful cottage, centrally located with parking. Lots of restaurants within walking distance of the cottage. Nice to have a garden aswell. Everything in good condition in the cottage."

"The home was freezing cold. Had many radiators but all remotely controlled by the owner and set for 19 degrees (66 F), and Bourton was facing a bit of cold weather, late March, and owner was aware that the home was cold, but she stated that a 1600’s home can’t be heated up because it interferes with the old stone and timbers of the home. It would be a great place to stay from June through August. Great location in town. Quaint. Good amenities (other than it has a clothes washer but no clothes dryer, which is odd). Would stay there again, but only during the summer!!"

"The room was generally clean, but the en-suite had quite a bit of mould across the ceiling and the shower felt cramped, despite the large cubicle, due to the shower itself being squashed into the corner of the cubicle.The furniture is somewhat 'distressed' , but the bed was very comfortable and the duvet was great. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast on our first morning was very good, however, on the second morning the fried egg yolks were hard, but the whites were runny and oily. Plenty of Tea bags and Coffee were supplied in the room, but only 4 small milk pots, which were not replenished. The Chestnuts is ideally located in the beautiful town of Bourton-on-the water, with plenty of pubs/restaurants. Parking can be a bit of a chore due to the small number of private spaces available to the B&B. You can park on the street for a maximum of 90 mins, although after 6 pm, you can park overnight free. We had a great short break and will definitely return to the Cotswolds, although probably not to this B&B."
