"I really enjoyed my stay at Lomas del Volcán! The property, staff, service, and overall experience made my trip to La Fortuna an absolute dream! The bungalow was immaculate and beautifully decorated, just like the pictures. Nice spacious restroom with water that can get real hot and the outdoor patio was a lovely space to relax. Every interaction I had with staff was positive and everyone very friendly. Front desk customer service was great. Breakfast options were also tasty and the fruit was fresh. I ordered room service for dinner during my stay and they are able to accommodate any dietary restrictions or preferences. If you have an allergy, they ask if you do before placing your order which provides an extra sense of safety for us allergic folk :) I ventured off into the pool area and yoga deck during my stay and both very welcoming and clean. I like how open and surrounded by nature the yoga deck is. Perfect place to get your zen on! This is also a nice spot if you're solo traveling. I felt safe! I'd come here again and recommending it to any friends/family visiting La Fortuna!"

"Amazing location and incredible value for money. We stayed in the Tabacon Spa before this place and considering you could stay here for circa 6 nights for the price of the spa, this is incredible value. AC worked great, daily room clean ensure a very clean facility inside and out, and very helpful and pleasant staff. We booked the couples massage also via the hotel menu and they come to your own chalet and both people were expert and very charming, it was another highlight and again good value at circa 50% of the price you pay at the spas or back in North America. Highly recommended place for couples and families. "

"Hotel Sanctuarium is truly a sanctuary. The property is grand and meticulously cared for. Surrounded by tropical jungles, views of the mountains and the valley below, it was by far the best place to stay for our trip to La Fortuna. And it is only a 7 minute drive to the heart of downtown. There is a restaurant on site with exquisite food. Perfect after a long day of activities so we didn’t have to venture back into town every night to find somewhere to eat. They cater to any specific dietary needs. The rooms are big and immaculate. They each have their own wall of windows that open to a large patio where you can sit and view the jungle covered mountains or the vast valley below. From the time we booked (even before we arrived) the staff was so attentive and helpful in getting our excursions arranged, along with transportation. Genesis, Johan, Kevin, Kevin A, Fabiola, Yeraldin, and Dayana pampered us at every turn, delivering drinks and food to us wherever we happened to be on the property. They answered a multitude of questions and showed us around the sanctuary. The staff were all fluent in English so it was easy to communicate but they also welcomed my efforts to speak Spanish. I highly recommend this hotel. It was a truly wonderful experience. Thank you Hotel Sanctuarium for making our stay perfect!"

"Loved the location just a few minutes outside of town. Appreciated the lush landscaping, including the short nature trail & the bird sightings. Enjoyed variety in breakfast buffet plus had a nice dinner at on-site restaurant."

"Beautiful house, love thats its tucked into the forest overlooking a stream! Layout was great for my family of five, although the loft never quite cooled down enough so we pulled the mattresses down to the main floor, which was cooled nicely by the AC. Host was fantastic, very helpful, great location for exploring Fortuna! Love the balcony, hammock was a favorite, only disappointment (and reason for 4 stars) was the large house construction 25yds away across the stream, metal grinding and hammering until 5pm and resuming again at 7:30am. We only stayed the one night so unsure if this is typical, but probably will be a few more weeks by the looks of it. Once its done, no doubt the peace of the beautiful setting will be restored!"

"The room was large and clean. We recommend the garden view with a balcony. Breakfast was delicious. The property also has trails leading down through the woods along the river to observe nature and wildlife. You can even swim in the river if you want. Would gladly stay here again. "
