"Our room was very large and the bed was comfortable. Overall the rooms are quite dated but it was clean. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. We arrived early and they allowed us to store our bags and use the pool while we waited for our room. The breakfast was good and substantial and our dinner there was excellent. There was no safe in our room which we would have appreciated. The grounds were absolutely stunning and well cared for. Overall, it was a nice stay. "

"Beautiful house, love thats its tucked into the forest overlooking a stream! Layout was great for my family of five, although the loft never quite cooled down enough so we pulled the mattresses down to the main floor, which was cooled nicely by the AC. Host was fantastic, very helpful, great location for exploring Fortuna! Love the balcony, hammock was a favorite, only disappointment (and reason for 4 stars) was the large house construction 25yds away across the stream, metal grinding and hammering until 5pm and resuming again at 7:30am. We only stayed the one night so unsure if this is typical, but probably will be a few more weeks by the looks of it. Once its done, no doubt the peace of the beautiful setting will be restored!"
