The room was clean, and the staff was professional and pleasant. Yes, there was a deposit, and yes, the elevators were small. The hotel was described as "classic New York experience" but I'm not sure what that means. Our room was...

"The hotel has an excellent location, spacious rooms, friendly staff, and fast elevators. Housekeeping was also good. However, the rooms are outdated, the furniture and bathrooms need renovation, the carpet had an unpleasant smell, and the lighting was poor. There was also some minor noise. "We understand it’s a budget hotel. But it’s still our money & hard-earned. The hotel is poor and there was no hot water one day. No internet as promised and the room is trashy. I will say the room service/cleaners are brilliant against overwhelming odds. Unfortunately it’s the management that doesn’t care or bother. Anyway stay at your risk and hey you might be surprised. I was not. Poor show!"
