"We had a fabulous weekend break at the Great Western Hotel. The room looks to have been newly refurbished and was nicely decorated. Tea coffee in the room and complementary toiletries in the bathroom was a nice touch. The bed was really comfy and the room was cleaned each day. "The site is nice, clean and well maintained. The food was excellent (as per my taste, but as you know... it is very subjective subject). The staff was friendly and kind. However, sorry for being picky, but the noise of a fan from a neighbor room did keep me awake for entire night. I was somehow disappointed by the advert where they were showing having bathtub in room, while actually I got just shower (yes, as you can guess, I am a big bathing person...sorry, nobody is perfect...)."

"Beautiful old world building with lovely rooms, bar the bathroom being upstairs. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good especially the breakfast. Very disappointed that they had a special curry and pint offer where you couldn't have and alternative drink and when we ordered the curry anyway we were charged £20 without the beer wheras it was £15 with the beer!"
