"Hotel is in a great location. Sites to see, plenty of dining options all within walking distance. We visited Coimbra as a one day stop, on our drive from Porto on the way to Lisbon, and we were able to see all the important sites, as well as sample the good restaurants for lunch and dinner. The person at the reception, Andre, helped us with directions from hotel and recommendations on nearby great restaurants. Parking across the hotel was very convenient, albeit a little tight in space. "First of all I knew from previous reviews the hotel was showing its age but my view was it had alot of charisma and charm. It also checked all the boxes for me on being convienently located, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Everything in my room functioned fine and my bed was comfortable. The breakfast provided was a wonderful way to start the day. I would not hesitate to stay again."
