"I almost hate to write a great review for Pasadena Rose & Crown Hotel (PRC) because I'd rather keep this as a great little secret. I visit Los Angeles area ~3x per year and Pasadena is a great central location for friends, family, shopping and restaurants. The surrounding neighborhoods are quaint and safe. PRC is not technically a hotel or a motel but a hybrid. Some rooms are accessible from the outside, but the majority are hallway accessible only. Recently remodeled and renamed, they did it...

"The room were clean and comfortable. Safe area. Walking distance to a lot of bars and restaurants in Old Pasadena and only a 25 minute walk to the Norton Simon museum. Hassam and Roman(?) at the desk were very helpful. Rosie with room service was delightful, as was the bar staff. The pool could use more shaded areas, but if you’re looking for direct sun, it’s your spot."
