I try to stay at a Hampton whenever traveling as I found it to be the most reasonably priced for an above average hotel. However our last stay of 3 nights was not up to past experience. The room was clean but “sparse” furniture looked like a collection of unbroken items. A desk chair but no desk etc. There were troublesome fleas or nats coming out of the walls, ( it seemed) which undermined the cleanliness. The essentials were there but the experience was less than comfortable . Breakfast was routine with rehydrated eggs and one day there was a tasteless hot dog like sausage. New to me at their breakfast that I would not try again. I think Hampton could do with a sprucing and re- thinking. .

Room, pool and breakfast area were well maintained and clean. The coffee station was clean and well stocked throughout the day. Staff was polite and made us feel very welcome. Overall we had a great stay here for our LA portion of our trip prior to our cruise.

This hotel is in a very convenient location, literally across the street and next to several resturaunts and tea shops. The staff was polite and the ammentinities were pretty good. Some things that knock a point are just how stained the walls and bathroom is. I'm assuming these are old stains, but it was a little gross to think about it. Also depending on where your room is, the sound proofing is poor. I got a room right next to the main lobby and elevator and would hear footsteps and talking at all times of night. Also note that the fridge is more like a cooler than a functioning fridge.

Nice property, clean, great location, easy free parking. Only issue, the shower is poorly desingned. Shower has one fixed door and one sliding door. But the shower head is located on the far side of the shower with the fixed door and there is no diverter, so you are forced to enter the shower to turn on the water. And because it takes time for the water to warm up, you get a blast of cold water. If you are taller and have long arms you can reach in and turn on the water and only expose your arm the the cold shower. But for those more petite individuals, showering includes a temporary cold toture before you can enjoy a warm shower. The complimentary breakfast is standard and good. Bed is comfortable. We have stayed many times and will return, despite the disappointing shower design.

Greta place to stay! Pool was a bit chilly, but everything else from the breakfast buffet to the staff was top notch. Room was sparkling clean, bathroom was well stocked with enough towels for the four of us. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Parking was ample and in a safe area. The breakfast was quality and fully stocked with eggs, meat, overnight oatmeal, waffles, fruit, cereal, juices and yogurt- much more than a “continental” breakfast. Great location near everything!

The bathroom was quite clean and bright, with excellent lighting over the sink and countertop. Breakfast was good, especially the oatmeal. However, it was odd that no "caffeinated" tea (such as Earl Grey) was available! Only herbal teas were set out at the coffee/tea station. When the breakfast staff person was asked, she could not find any "caffeinated" tea in her kitchen supply. The hallway on the second floor smelled of smoke when we arrived, even though there was a sign indicating it was a "No Smoking Floor". We found out that another guest on that floor was a smoker, so she could have been the source of the smoke odor. The landscaping on the grounds of the hotel were immaculate, which indicates a high level of exterior maintenance. The location was excellent, and it was an easy one-block walk to many restaurants.

Die Lage des Hotels war super, viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants in der Umgebung. Das Frühstück hätte man sich sparen können. Keinerlei Auswahl und jeden Tag, das gleiche. Die Mitarbeiter hätten freundlicher sein können. Im Großen und Ganzen würden wir das Hotel aufgrund des Preises noch mal buchen.

From arrival to departure, our stay was really comfortable. All the staff were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The room and bathroom were clean. The front desk people were lovely and helpful. We didn't get a chance to use the pool. It is centrally located to restaurants. Our only issues were with sound and the thermostat. We could literally hear our neighbor unzip their suitcase. I was taking a shower and heard what I thought was my wife getting back into the room... it was a different door. It was trash day th next morning and we were woken up by the banging of dumpsters at 8 a.m.. It sounded like we had a window open. There was a pretty seemingly permanent sign on the thermostat stating it was broken. The breakfast room was understaffed. They were out of so much food. They were trying their hardest to restock as fast as possible. We're still up on the air if we will stay there the next time we're in town.
